In the spirit of Valentine's Day we sorted and tallied candy hearts.
We completed a candy hearts graph and answered questions about the graph.
I found some heart playing cards at Target. We added the numbers using a number line.
After we added, we tried subtraction. The students remembered to write the highest number first.
Download the activity below and practice at home. Use regular playing cards omitting the face cards. You can draw a number line for your child to use.
